Billy Bridges

WELCOME - Billy's Story

3 time Paralympian
Paralympic Gold Medallist ('06)
3 Time World Champion ('00, '08, '13)
All-time leader in Points in the World

Born with the effects of Spina Bifida, Billy has defied the odds and become one of the most successful athletes Canada has ever produced.

Less concerned with individual accolades, Billy chooses rather to focus on the success of the Team.

"Coming in 4th in Vancouver in front of our own fans was the most excruciating defeat I've ever had to deal with. The road back has been long, however, our team's success at last year's World Championship in Korea has given our team renewed confidence going into the Paralympics in Sochi '14."

Billy has been a member of Team Canada since the age of 14 and has played just about every role within the team dynamics. Counted on for his fiery play and aggressive hits, Billy is also an invaluable leader and mentor to the younger players on the team.

Billy's message is about overcoming obstacles, achieving success and helping all those around you become better.
